x200s sometimes hangs/freezes when goes back from sleep

There is a confirmed bug in ubuntu jaunty/karmic running on lenovo x200 series notebooks. Shortly, it sometimes hangs/freezes when goes back from sleep mode.

Win7 T400s in spain?

Are there any plans to release a T400s model that comes pre-installed with Windows 7 in Spain?

There's currently only one configuration sold here and it comes with 32 bit Vista. Reading on this forum that the Win7 upgrade can take several months to process and ship, I'm left wondering if I'd be better off waiting for a model that comes pre-installed with Win7.

Windows 7 Upgrade Companion Disk - SAS Drivers?

Hi. I have a lenovo x301 which has been upgraded to windows 7 64bit using the upgrade disc,

The "Lenovo Companion Discfor windows upgrade media" includes a SAS DRIVER directory.

In that directory are several subdirs for vista, 7 etc.

The win732_64bit directory contains 2 zip files:

CDSA08WS7 - contains nv64xx and a readme, but opening the inf it seems to be compatible up to vista only - it seems to be a Marvell SAS driver diskette from 2006!

CDSA09WS17 - ciontains mv64xx and a coinstall of a Marvell 64xx/63xx SAS Controller. Again, the inf below is from 2006 and only goes up to vista, and this looks like a diskette copy.

For anybody in Lenovo technical : what are these drivers for?

Are they necessary, or built into w7 under another device?

If needed for w7, how do these CD versions get installed - I cant see any instructions and no seeming way to attached them to any obvious device via Device Manager as "have disk"?

Display of R52 Thinkpad

Earlier to R52, the mechanical hinges of the display of thinkpad was the problem which I is well resolved with R52.

I have faced a problem where EXACTLY half (vertical half - left side) of the screen has spoiled its display and projects vertical lines like Barcode.

Has anyone experienced this problem? Could anyone help out for could that be fixed?

Battery Status Indicator Stuck

I've got a T500, with Windows 7 installed. The battery status indicator on the task bar is stuck at 99%. Neither can I alternate between the 'Show time remaining...'/Show percentage remaining...' options in the Power Manager. I appear to have the most up to date Power Manager installed. Has anyone else experienced this, and is there a solution?

I would like to mention a faster processor, and I do not know which type I install?
I am interested in T7XXX series models such as T7300 or T7400?
Do you have a table of compatible processors for laptops T60?

Hallo,

I have an R40 2682KCU which is about 5 years old and it has started making the occasional horrible noises, which I'm sure is the fan as it does seems to be running hotter than usual. The fan is still working and the vents are clear and am wondering if I can replace the fan heatsink unit or does it have to be done by Lenovo or an approved repairer.

CPU Temperature intel T2500 in ThinPad T60

Hello!

I have notebook lenovo IBM ThinkPad T60 (type: 2007-63G) - CPU - intel Core Duo T2500.

I have this laptop since 3years and never undressed on for parts, only used compressed air to clean Fan.

I installed the program SpeedFan, and temperatures indicated are as follows:

When selecting the mode on the Energy Profile "Maximum Battery Life" temperature is:
Core 0: about 46-49 C
Core1: about 46-49 C

When selecting the mode on the Energy Profile "Maximum Performancee" temperature is:
Core 0: about 55-59 C
Core1: about 55-59 C

I wonder whether the temperatures are not too high especially for maximum performance.

Do you think that we might remove the cooling of the CPU and apply new paste or tape, thermo-conductive?

You may be a brief description of how to dismantle it cool to get to the CPU?

I just succesfully installed windows 7 and it is running perfect so far. Nice new thinkvantage also. My only problem is that I cannot install or run the Catalyst Control Center. The driver is running fine though. Help on how to install the CCC.

lenovo 3000 c200 not printing black text to canon mp600

Hi this is my first post.

I have had a Lenovo 3000 c200 8922 a26 for about 2 1/2 years that I have had no trouble with until I connected a Canon mp600 multifunction center. I cannot get the printer to print black text. When it prints test sheets it will print color graphics but no text. A text only document will give a blank sheet. The laptop will print normally on an older Canon BJC-2100SP

I also have a built up desktop unit running Ubuntu 8.04. The MP600 functions normally when connected to the desktop unit, it will also print correct copies from the scanner unit.

I was running Debian Lenny on the Lenovo but when this problem occured I installed Windows XP Pro. All the updates from Microsoft have been installed and the latest driver from Canon Aust. (mp600win111ea23.exe). I have upgraded the BIOS to 63ET62WW v1.08.

Attempting to print from the laptop to the desktop will give the same error, also the same when printing in the reverse direction.

I feel I am missing something but have run out of ideas. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. I purchased a lenovo g530, installed XP and related drivers from lenovo site. All is gr8 except that the dvd is not running either in real or ms media player. Same error is comming "dvd decoder not there"

Pl help. I dont see any subhead on lenovo site for downloading this. Does this come with any other bundle.

T43p Wireless Controller

I've reinstalled XP on a T43p, downloading all the drivers from the lenovo site. However, despite 6 or 7 re-installs, the driver for the wireless card will not satisfy XP. Interestingly, the driver on the lenovo site (7ywcc54ww.exe) is stated as being 6,220,416 in size - but the link downloads a file of the same name, but at 6075 kb in size.

Either way - I am unable to use the wireless card. I have run the exectuable and it creates a folder.....

C:\Drivers\Win\Wllanath. I have run setup from this folder; I have updated the drivers (pointing to this folder) from device manager; I have done it forwards, backwards, upside down................

Still no wireless. It's now 01:30 am and I'm knackerd !!

Can anyone help please ? I really really need this wireless card to work.
