I just got a wiped IBM ThinkCentre M52 series and put windows xp sp2 on it.
It is not recognizing the ethernet driver, and if i plug in a aux cable to my tv, nothing happens at all.
I tried downloading the ethernet driver, installing it, restarting the computer, and nothing happened.
What should I do?

Update: I tried installing SP3 from a dvd onto it, but still no luck.
Also, When It installed these drivers, it put them into a directory outside C:\Windows. that directory was C:\IBMTOOLS\Drivers\
Is there anything I have to do to get my computer to recognize any of the files?

right click ethernet controller->Update driver
>>choose "no not at this time" ->next
>>install from a specific locaiton -> next
>>check the box for "include this location in the search" -> browse
navigate to the folder for the Ethernet driver....it will not let you click okay until it found a *.inf file.
then click next and enjoy
tell me if you need further assistance.
If os please provide machine type and model so I can give you more in depth directions
