A and M Series ThinkCentre Desktops

I've scoured the internet trying to find drivers for the PCI Simple Communications Controller driver and PCI Serial port driver, but for the life of me can not seem to find them.

Where can they be downloaded? I'm using an M57 6395-A11 running Windows XP

Hi, I actually have the same issue with my M57p (Model 6088) desktop in which I am missing the same drivers. This occured recently when I installed Windows 7.

I will try and Flash the BIOS to see if this rectifies the problem by using the links from the download section of Lenovo for my particular model desktop.

If this fails, does anyone know where else to obtain these specific drivers as nothing in my PCI / PCIe slots works ......

Actually I've since resolved my problem. The driver I was looking for is the AMT driver, listed among the many drivers available for my machine at the Lenovo support page.

A very ambiguous name for a Serial/PCI driver, it actually means something along the lines of 'Advanced management tech' or something like that.

Please provide a link, as I can't find them and the System Update doesnt' either!

Whoops, posted too early, but that's for the type 6395, AMT is second from the top.

The problem here is that these AMT drivers which look after the following ...

PCI Simple Communications Controller

PCI Serial Port

are only tailored for Windows Vista, XP, etc but not for Windows 7 which is what I required.

There are Beta versions for use on the Lenovo notebooks but there is nothing available even in beta form for the desktops like mine which is the M57p (model 6088).

Does anyone know how to resolve this?

I dont know why these drivers have been made available for Lenovo notebooks but not for the desktops.

I suspect this will become a more significant problem when more Lenovo desktops upgrade to Windows 7.

Does anyone know if Lenovo plan to release these drivers for their desktops in the near future?

Otherwise myself and many others cannot use anything in our PC's PCI or PCIe ports ......
