If you read the documentation on Lenovo's site, you'd see where they tell people that shipping times are estimates and vary according to demand and availability. I feel well informed in advance of my purchase, and I'm patiently waiting.

If urgency was such a priority for you, then due diligence on your part was not taken.

Its like buying on ebay and complaining that it takes 3 weeks to arrive from Hong Kong, when the terms are clearly outlined for those who need to understand what they have just engaged in.

I'm sure Lenovo wants to get those warm little laptops into everybodys hands as fast as they can and for as long as they can.

On a good note shipping estimate times are now half what they were yesterdayfor the S12.

Just now I got a notice my full load Ion S12 was shipped.

So I'm a happy camper.

  When i ordered Oct 26 it was to ship on the 26 of Nov, which is what my order status page told me even yesterday. So shipping times are estimates and good things happen to those that wait.

Good news for me..my S12 Ion has been shipped & I should be getting it tomorrow!

Order date - Nov 4 (initial estimated shipment date was Dec 12, which annoyed me)  

Shiping date - Nov 14

About to receive - Nov 17.

Folks, don't  get annoyed seeing long shipment dates...it turned out much faster than the initial estimates (atleast in my experience).

I ordered an S10-2 Sat 11/14/09.  Does anyone remember how long it took for them to bill your credit card?

Has anyone successfully used bing.com cashback with Lenovo? My ship date shows as 11/26/09, which is reasonable, I just like to keep on top of my credit card charges.

URGENT REQUEST

i want to order a white S12 ion netbook as a christmas present for my daughter

just the standard white ion netbook £389

will i definitely get the netbook before christmas if i order today?

it is imperative that it is here for her to open on christmas day

im from the uk and its approx 31 days

i rang the sales dept but they couldnt tell me an exact date

just that it would be longer than the stated 2 weeks

i asked if it would take longer than 4 weeks but they couldnt say

i think i may have to order the hp mini 311 as i cant risk it

I got my 29595GU already, but my 29595FU which I ordered October 26th was to ship Nov 25, is now delayed till Dec 31, a full 2 months.

Not very impressive, considering Lenovo had the whole summer to ramp up production for the Windows 7 launch of these S12's.

Lenovo has really dropped the ball on getting these ION S12's to market on time.

shipping confirmation : NOV-26 (as expected)

delivery (Canada,Montreal): NOV-28 (expected DEC-2nd)
