I bought a lenovo R60e many years ago with XP, but would like to know whether i can upgrade

Spec:

Lenovo core-duo R60e

Intel(R) Core(tM)2 cpu  T5500 @ 1.6 GHz (2cpus)

Mobile Intel(R) 945GM Express Chipset family

I want to know whether i can install /upgrade to Windows7 and what is the best way to do this?

Also can i upgrade anything else like processor or graphics card? I was told i cannot run aero because graphics card is too old...

T5500 CPU is capable of running 64 bit OS and Virtualisation all of which is important, so you can do an upgrade. What is the model number of your laptop (i.e. 8932-9um)? You probably need to update the BIOS. You would need to get an aftermarket win 7 installation disc from computer store.

Your GPU is the limiting factor, and no you can't upgrade the GPU like you can on the desktops, because it is inbuilt.

and where do i find the model# ?

on the back i see: 41W4748 JS but i don't think that is the model#

where do i find it for sure?
