Hi I have SL500 and I am planning to upgrade to Windows 7. Currenlty I have Windows Vista Business Premium installed. Would there be any issues with my current hardware cause once I upgraded my OS i'am planning to expand my RAM from 4GB to 8GB. Any advice will be higly appreciated.

Hi
Few days ago I bought my sl500 and first thing after creating recovery disks was clean install of windows 7 64bit pro. There was no problems at all. About your ram, correct me if im wrong but I thought that sl500 can handle max 4gb ram?

Don't do it - the driver support isn't there yet. 6W higher power consumption, broken Ultranav standard scrolling...
As for the RAM - up to 4GB is supported, but I wouldn't be surprised if more worked - it was the same on some older T6X models...
