Re: New and improved T-series shipping thread

Ok,

I'll round up the order status checks on the last  page or two here since my last comment, and will do my best to get some updates out for tomorrow.

Thanks.

Re: New and improved T-series shipping thread

Hi Mark,

I placed the order on Feb 29th, 2008 and order number is 4240005324. I received 2 emails on March 18 that said "All or part of your order has shipped" but no tracking number. Until now I have not received the laptop. So could you please check my  tracking number and tell me what it is? I need this for my thesis research very urgently. Thanks.

Re: New and improved T-series shipping thread

Good to know another one of my neighbour is going thorugh this agonizing anticipation along with me.  I actually placed the order after reading about this shipping issue Lenovo has been experiencing, so I was expecting the delay, I;m a glutton for pain.  Referring to your comment ".. Let's hope the PC will be A1 when it arrives.." , I do to.  In 2002 I worked with a Thinpad A.  It was a true machine.  Sooo solid.  Ever since then I've used Toshiba Qosmio, very plastic(y) build, great performer, but I wanted the Thinkpad "feel" back.  I also considered the Mac before order this T61P, wicket form factor, but I'm not hoping get dates using a laptop (have you seen the details, like the power adapter with the magnet, soooooo cute and neato), also way over my budget, looking for function over style.  I'm clumsy, I've changed the keyboards three times due to "coffee cup malfunctions", T61P can take the spill and keep on ticking.  C'mon Canadian Customs, won't you let my peoples T61 go?!!

Re: New and improved T-series shipping thread

Hi Mark,

I seem to be having a similar problem as the person who posted a couple posts before me, I've received an email saying that all or part of my order has shipped, as of Mar16/08, but I didn't receive any tracking number. I wasn't able to find this information anywhere on the Canadian Lenovo site and I'd appreciate if I could get this information as it might allow me to assess whether or not I should look for a temporary replacement until it arrives as I've got a pretty big deadline for a project next week and am somewhat lost without a laptop. I have to commend you guys as well as my order seems to have shipped a little over a week after I ordered it.

Order number is 4240005939 for T61

Thanks
Nathan

Re: New and improved T-series shipping thread

All,

I need to find a way to announce or make a sticky on this point. :smileyhappy:

Tracking numbers are not being automatically emailed or delivered on Canadian orders at this point.   I understand that they should, it's just not in place yet.

Tracking numbers are available once a product ships from China and clears customs and is re-shipped on to your address.

Typically it takes 5-7 days from the date you get the  shipping email for the product to arrive in Canada and have a tracking number.  So, I would advise you to call sales 7 days after the shipping email, and they should be able to provide a tracking number.

In most cases, the overall cycle runs about 10 days from the shipping email until you have have the product.

Why can US customers report they have tracking right from China and Canadian customers can't? Note that I may have miss-interpretted what these US customers reported. Mark, can you confirm how it is done for the US side? If this is correct, please talk to people and tell them to fix this for Canadians too. We should be able to track from China to our door. We are in 2008. Lenovo has to be more transparent and provide the information to its customer.

In most cases, the overall cycle runs about 10 days from the shipping email until you have the product.

I really do hope your right Mark. I called many times Canadian reps and they seemed to be totally in the dark... as much as we are. Are they just worth taking orders and no more? Sounds like it sorry. Each different rep I spoke with had a different version... it's in Brampton.. no wait.. it's not yet in Canada.... sure it is in Brampton ... and it goes on. If at least they would all be consistent in the status they give, we would not get so nervous.

I really do hope I won’t have a defective unit as I don't know how I can send it back for repair and not have them "lose track" of it in the process! This whole experience made me lose confidence in the human process side of this company.

I got my shipment notice the 17th (saying it was shipped the 16th). So I guess I can expect a tracking number today or tomorrow.... that is still way too long from an order made the 6th.

If I haven't got a really great deal price-wise, I would have went with an other brand. Now we will see if Lenovo can get back to a normal operation mode and provide service up to the level of the ThinkPad brand quality we all heard of. Right now, they are ruining the reputation of the ThinkPad brand with less than sub-par company service. (I'm not targeting at the individuals like Mark who are dedicated to help throughout these messy times).

Regards,

Where can I check my order's status?

I ordered a T61  via .lenovo.com/ca on 13th Dec 2007, but I haven't recieved it still. It has been three weeks .Nothing but two e-mails from lenovo ask me to confirm that if I had revived my order.

In 2006 I bougt a T43. I got it whithin two weeks.  I just wondering what had happened to this one. I shop online quite often, and never had waited so long. Worst of all, I can't even  trace my  order??  Maybe it is because here is Canada:smileysad:

I have to call the Support  anyways.

Re: Where can I check my order's status?

Have you gone to the main Lenovo Canada page, clicked on the "My Account" tab near the top of the page and created an account to track your order?
