I'm a little nervous about some of the postings there. I need to get mine in hand before April 10th at the latest - which is in line with the 3-4 weeks that was posted while I was ordering the laptop - because I need to travel with it on the 14th. But I just saw someone from Vancouver post that the order they placed on March 8th (couple of days before I ordered mine) won't be shipping until April 10th. I'm out of the country now, so I can't call to get an estimate... but if I get an estimated ship date like that I will definitely need to cancel the order and run out to a B&M store to pick something up :-(

I called for the ban. I had also asked for all my posts to be removed, and they weren't.
I somehow suspect all my wishes are going to be granted now

And thank you for doing a good job at the utterly thankless task of moderating - especially on a complaints thread!

My brother just came back from vacation, my brother who works for a little company called IBM, and just slapped me upside the head with a little thing called an EPP... and I thought I was getting a great deal (better than the 25% off sale price) through the Visa perks site!
Took me awhile to connect to an agent to help me cancel the order, as the listed numbers all went to the US site, and they don't recognize Canadian orders. I was given an 877 number for Lenovo Canada orders, but I couldn't get through (due, I think, to the local carrier here in the Carribbean not allowing me to place the call to a Canadian toll-free line). Was then given the line for IBM Canada who got me through to a Lenovo Canada rep, who helped me out... he says it may take two days or so to cancel the order, so I should to wait a few days before trying to place the order again. He did, however, offer to get me the EPP price extended to my current build, which was very helpful, and I was just about to take him up on that, until I noticed the warranty for the EPP orders was much better than mine (on site).
*phew* someday, someway, I will get my hands on this machine!

I am no so sure. Before I canceled my first order and made my second one, I was told that everything will be taken care of, and the money I paid for my canceled purchased will automatically go to my new purchase, while the extra credit will be refunded. However, now it seems to me that Lenovo had no idea that I had already paided, and my order status was "waiting for payment" up until I called. Hopefully it isn't now.
It's been 2 week since I ordered my T61, am I to expect a delay in shipping? How will the refund work (my original order was about over $300 more expendsive than my current one)?

All,
Based on recent comments posted here, I've noted two concerns with order processing in Canada:
(1) Customers receiving multiple order confirmation emails. This has been caused when systems involved in the end to end sales and fulfillment process send automated confirmations each time an order passes through the system. Work is underway to eliminate redundancy and improve the content and consistency of the emails. I'll update when we have made the changes.
(2) Warranty service upgrades sold with new Lenovo systems were being processed and invoiced as separate accessory items. As noted by some of our customers here, these warranty upgrades were being automatically invoiced in advance of the system shipment. This was resolved late last week and sales teams have now revised procedures to make sure the warranty is invoiced at the appropriate time.
A thank you to those who raised these issue, and shared their email confirmation notes with us.
