its not lenovo's fault for turbo memory to not work in xp. blame intel for that. all drivers and utilities are available on lenovo's website or via system update.
Don't pm me for help! That's what the forum is for. Also, Google's nicer than me. Ask him.

It is possible when they were working on your system that they changed the power manager settings which would change the amount of runtime while you're on battery. From the sound of it, they may have messed with the configuration of the system.
You can either use the System Update utility to reinstall all drivers or you can do them manually from Lenovo's site.
Again, I would especially check the power manager and make sure that you are in a battery friendly setting. My 9cell T500 gets 9 hours with the power settings set fairly balanced for watching video on airplanes (so not all the way down). And in max performance it manages a little over 2:30.. so it can make a huge difference.

How long it lasts for a T400 with a 9-cell battery?
I tried different kinds power management scheme. Never see it can be used for longger than 6hrs.

I don't know how long it last in a T400, there are alot of things which influence the length of the battery life, usage habbits, HD, Memory, Screen brightness, the age and charging habits with the battery.

I am depositing the stink back to the service centre .The Trained
engineer has consented to put in
his paid time to do the setup. Though I know that I should try on my own, I want to get something out of the warranty
that Lenovo provides.![]()
