Strange eror message about battery

I got a "scratch and dent" 6 cell battery from the Lenovo outlet in May for my T61p (8889).  The battery was brand new with no cycles on it.  Recently, it's started giving the error balloon "Not a genuine Lenovo battery". Of course, it is a genuine Lenovo battery (and still in excellent condition).

Has anyone had a similar exerience with Lenovo or non-Lenovo batteries?

Maybe it also applies for T-series?

Thanks maliha:  That's exaclty the error I'm getting and is does look to be a software error as the battery is a genuine Lenovo battery.
