RS110 Network Adapter driver issue

I'm attempting to install the drivers for the network adapter for the RS110, 6438-13U.  I have Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 installed.  I've downloaded the Broadcom Extreme II drivers from the support page.  When I attempt the install, it appears successful, but the network adapters are still unavailable (yellow question marks in device manager).

What am I missing?

Re: RS110 Network Adapter driver issue

welcome to the forum!

what does device manager say is the problem?   have the ethernet connections been enabled?   is there a message about the driver failing to start?

Re: RS110 Network Adapter driver issue

Device manager just shows no driver installed.  There are no errors in the event viewer regarding the drivers or adapters.  From what I can tell, the system sees the driver install as a success.  When I install the Broadcom Management software, it says there are no Broadcom adapters detected by the software.

Re: RS110 Network Adapter driver issue

did you run the driver installer after it was unpacked or have you only run the a4etn01sr47.exe file?

have you attempted a manual installation?   if not, open devmgmt.exe and right-click the ethernet controller, then select the option to install driver software.   browse your computer for the a4etn01sr47 directory (it'll be in a directory in c:\) and point to that directory as the root.   make sure the 'include subfolders' option is checked.

if this doesn't work then you somehow have the wrong driver package.   the correct one can be found here.

Re: RS110 Network Adapter driver issue

I ended up going to Broadcom's website and downloading the driver directly from them.  It worked like a champ.
