Error 77 with TVSU 4.0 on Win7

ThinkPad T61p 6459-CTO. Clean install of Win7 Ultimate. Installed ThinkVantage System Update 4.0 (for Win7). Generates an Error 77. A search of this forum shows similar error with the 3.4 XP/Vista version of TVSU, but it doesn't appear as though this has ever been resolved. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

T61/p 6459-CTO Win 7Ultimate 3 gig memory
A31/p XP Pro 1 gig memory
A30/p XP Pro 1 gig memory
TP600 Win 2K 288 mb memory
701C Win 98 Don't ask

try turning off UAC

Thanks for the reply. UAC is off. I've also tried "Run as Administrator". Same error.
