Hi,
Since today I have the new 2440p (model 4420HB2) on my business desk. But the screen is much to red and very badly calibrated. For my former screen (2220 I think) I could use SoftOSM to calibrate the RGB etc.
But my new screen is not recognized by the SoftOSM. It sees it as Lenovo LEN1144. And I do not have all the tabs to change the RGB, Brightness etc.
The latest correct drivers are installed (I see this in my Hardware Device Manager and my Display Settings)
Also the latest version of the SoftOSM is installed.
Anybody has the same problem and knows how to solve this?
I can send or post the diagnostic report if needed.
Thanks,
Patrick

softOSM isn't licensed by Lenovo for use with the L2440P. You can try using mControl here.

I have downloaded mControl but this program doesn't recognise the monitor.
I am really getting headache from the reddish screen. If I cannot calibrate it in any way I will go back to my old smaller screen.

If it doesn't recognize your monitor, it will be because of your graphics card driver, not the monitor. Make sure you have the latest version (see the release notes).

Hi,
I will give a status update.
Latest graphics driver installed for Intel Chipset GM45.
Also installing the calibration file did not help.
SoftOSM and mControl are still not recognizing the screen.
In the device manager the screen is recognized (see link with screenshot http://i38.tinypic.com/nm1bhc.jpg )
Also see my other screenshot of OSM: http://i38.tinypic.com/vipkqt.jpg

A screenshot doesn't really provide much information. In the mControl menu there is an option to "Save diagnostic report" to a text file - use that and then post the content of the file you saved.
