 I ordered a laptop on October 5th and it was written in the website that the estimated shipping date would be October 27. Recently I checked the link again and I saw that the shipping date has been changed to November 21. This is so frustrating.

same issue here, I ordered back in September and the shipping date has been postponed, postponed and postponed again. It looks like I will get my laptop 2 months after ordering it. Shame shame shame.

Apparently Lenovo is waiting for some components in order to complete the configuration of laptops. That's what has been holding them up. Off course they don't tell you. You have to wait, wait and wait.

I don't rate this process as best selling practice.

The website said up to 15 days for the laptop to be shipped. A tad long, considering my brother got a fully customized MacBook Pro in 3 days. I check the order and it says the ship date is November 25. I call and ask what the deal is and the rep says it's in production and to check on October 30, as it should ship on or before that date.

October 30: I call and the rep says to call at the end of the following week.

November 6: I call and the rep say he has to assign it to a warehouse for production. I speak to a supervisor and ask what the deal is and why they're waiting until now to assign it to a warehouse, and she tells me that the first warehouse they assigned it to rejected the manufacturing, and that it'll take another 1-2 business days before an update. I must have heard the words "I apologize for the inconvenience" several dozen times, and I'm really sick and tired of it.

I'm an architecture student and, in order to run the necessary design programs to the best of my abilities, I want/need something with a Quadro GPU, and out of those sorts of systems, I heard Lenovo has the best configurations. While I don't doubt that, their customer service and shipping leave very much to be desired to this point. I doubt I'll get this before the semester ends, that's for sure, and am considering cancelling the order, but I refuse to go to Dell or HP.

Does anyone know why it would be taking this long just to get this system into PRODUCTION? Is it one of the parts listed above that could be tying the process up? It's really aggravating me to no end...

Order date: 11/8/2009 Shipped date: 11/13/2009 But anyone know how to get the exact delivery date to my home? My order status shows: "DHL GLOBAL FORWARDING HONG KONG" and a link ---- "DHLA*******" But that is not working at all, even I try it at DHL website, global forwarding tracking tool. Thanks in advance!

Not sure how DHL works "down under" but here in the states they no longer deliver to homes. They are international only and then hand it off to another carrier for the actual delivery. My order shows UPS Ground but I don't have a tracking number since it only shipped today.

So you need to determine what carrier will actually deliver unless DHL does local deliveries in Australia.

Thank you, schmidtj. I've called Lenovo about that. They said they can't track for me, only told me delivery might take about one week, so either this Friday or next Monday. So I think the only thing I can do is waiting......Hope I can get my TP soon~~~ =============================================================================================================== Update: Today(11/18/2009) I tried my tracking number at DHL website again. Thankgodness, it works and shows my package just departed from HongKong early this morning......so, keep waiting~~~~~

Mine is coming to Chicagoland via UPS.

When it originally shipped the UPS tracking said delivery 11/20/09, the next morning the tracking page said the rescheduled delivery date is 11/19/09 (1 day earlier). Since then the PC has gone from Shanghai, to the Phillipines, back to Shanghai, then to Japan and now is in Alaska. This is 11/18/09 so if it goes direct to Chicago from Alaska I stand a good chance of getting it tomorrow 11/19/09. We shall see. Oh, the UPS tracking page no longers shows any scheduled delivery date. Weird.

Congrats.

My w700 arrived Friday.

It was configured as ordered (RAID1 etc.) but I was a little surpirsed the BIOS was 3 levels down, 38 items in System Update needed to be installed and a couple dozen Windows Update items needed to be done. That all took several hours. I'm still waiting on the docking station and the "free ?" Windows 7 update so for now I'm not spending a whole lot of time customizing it.
