Sysprep T60 windows 7

Hello, I have T60 and I installed windows 7 pro. After all installation I created Ghost. Now on new machine I restore from the ghost and I need to generate new sid for that new laptop. Since NewSID tool in not working on Windows 7 I used Sysprep from c:\windows\system32\sysprep. After the laptop reboot it's start the sysprep installation proces buy hung in "setup installing devices" Some time after 69% of the process somtime ~75% of the process. Any help ?

Have you tried Audit Mode and then Sysprepping the installation? You will need to clean install Windows 7 again. When you are at the welcome screen and asked to configure your laptop [create user account, set time zone, etc.], you hit Ctrl+Shift+F3 and you will enter Audit Mode. The Sysprep utility will be shown but you can ignore it for now. You install all software and drivers and then use the Sysprep utility to reseal the installation.

 

I've done it countless times with absolutely no problems.
