x200 tablet multitouch in the outlet store?

[ Edited ]

I'm wondering if the x200 tablet with the new multitouch (multi-finger input) screen is showing up in the outlet store. If so, how can I tell if the unit I'm look at has this feature? Are there particular model or part numbers to look at? Or some kind of code or other indicator?

Re: x200 tablet multitouch in the outlet store?

enhanced multitouch panels just hit the market late october.   chances are slim in seeing them in the outlet this soon.

however, if you do see them, they should be labeled "enhanced multitouch" or "touch with two-finger input" (or something along those lines).   any tablets labeled "multitouch" will likely be one-finger touch plus pen input.

Thanks for your reply. I know what you mean about availability, so that's why I'm asking -- I want to keep my eye on things, and, unfortunately, if you go to the outlet site, there's no indication whatsoever as to which screen is available on individual listings. The description is generic and refers to the availability of this screen or that screen, but the details of the listing itself doesn't indicate anything, that I can see. (" Available with WideView SuperBright LED backlit screen for improved outdoor viewability and multi-touch screen options for optimum usability.")

Where do you think it would say the screen type, in the fields they have available? Considering the daylight-viewable screen has been available from the inception of the x200 (or at least, for many months now) you'd think there'd be some indication of screen configuration there, somewhere. But the only types of screen listed under "Display type" is "12.1” WXGA (1280 X 800), W/ Backlight" and "12.1” WXGA (1280 X 800), W/ LED Backlight" which isn't very informative.

PS: x200t with 2.13Ghz and Enhanced Multitouch? Where did you score that? It's not available anywhere!
